Excel Connectivity - Delete and Readd Addins

To Completely delete and re-add PowerOLAP Addins because excel connectivity is not working properly, do the following.


  1. Delete addins from System32 (or SysWOW64) (PowerOLAPCore.xll) and Program Files\PowerOLAP (PowerOLAP.xla)
  2. Launch Excel, Go to Tools --> Add-ins
  3. Uncheck "PowerOLAP" and "PowerOLAP Core" and confirm delete of add-ins
  4. Close Excel
  5. Repair PowerOLAP Installation
  6. Reopen Excel and if necessary, Add PowerOLAP Addins from the default location (System32 (or SysWOW64) and Program Files\PowerOLAP)
